| Data collection info | Daily water level data were collected with a HOBO U20 water level data logger. The water level is determined by continuously collecting the absolute pressure of the water column above a sensor, compensating it for atmospheric pressure, and calibrating it with reference water levels that are collected manually. The atmospheric pressure is measured by a HOBO U20 level logger (0- 4m range) that is installed in the airspace at the top of the wellhead. Manual water level level measurements were collected using either a Heron or Solinst water level tape (sounding tape). |
| Data processing | Data compensation and water level referencing were completed using HOBOWare Pro software. For the conversion of pressure to water level, the water density of freshwater is adjusted for water temperature. Pressures are converted to water level based on manual water level readings using a water level tape. The pressure data were reviewed to ensure they are within the factory calibrated range of the sensor. Water level time series and the manual and logger data were compared to identify any gross errors or potential instrument drift. Data collected prior to 2017-05-30 were not verified. Data from 2018-04-16 to 2018-05-07 were shifted to match the time series trends and account for instrument errors. |
